carolina herrera: amoy ng alaala

imagine having someone in bed and when you bend to kiss her on the neck you take a noseful of her scent that reminds you of your first heartbreak. or your first crush. or your wife. or your first holy communion.

the sense of smell has a freaky correlation with memory.

no wonder then, that when i shop for perfumes, i always end up with this, carolina herrera classic for men. it brings me back to a time when i am most honest. and pure.

  6. i’m a nose person—my eyesight sucks, my hearing is getting weak (at 19 years old wtf), but my nose never fails me. i totally understand when you say odor and memory are closely linked. i’ve had powerful flashbacks myself. ^_^
